Hastings College honors 138th graduating class

Body Graduation honors are awarded to those students with outstanding academic records in their undergraduate work. Degrees with distinction are awarded as follows: Summa Cum Laude, overall GPA of 3.97 or higher; Magna Cum Laude, overall GPA of 3.

Local students share poetry work!

Body High Plains Community School’s 4th and 5th graders in Mrs. Laura Hedrick’s class recently held a Poetry Cafe after finishing up their poetry units. Each week different students poems will be published to honor their hard work!

Mike Santin receives Admiralship from the State of Nebraska

Body Local farmer Mike Santin has recently been honored with the Admiralship of the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska, an award steeped in the rich history of the state. This prestigious accolade was bestowed upon him by Loren Lippincott, a longtime friend and neighbor.
Congratulations Admiral Santin It is a busy time for local farmer Mike Santin, but he spared a few minutes to meet with his neighbor as he received an Admiralship honor from the State of Nebraska. The award was presented by Sen. Loren Lippincott who also happens to be Santin’s neighbor and friend in northern Merrick County.
