Thomas E. Blodgett, 72, of Central City, died on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. Memorial services were held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Gordon Paulsen officiating.

Scottie Irene was born sleeping on May 15, 2026, at 3:59 p.m., surrounded by endless love. Though her time here was far too brief, she was treasured long before she entered this world and will be remembered always by those who awaited her arrival.

Gloria Mae Tagge, 88, of Grand Island, passed away, Friday, May 22, 2026 at Prairie Winds in Doniphan. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 5th, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, with Pastor April officiating.

Darlene P. Soll, 99, of Central City, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Francis Kinyua officiating.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father John Edward Fishler, who departed this life peacefully on May 30, 2026, at the age of eighty-six. John was born on January 12, 1940, in Central City, to Lester and May Fishler.

Linda C. Lambert, of Central City, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Trent Wagner officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 5th from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Marlene M. Larson, 87, of Stromsburg, entered eternal life with her savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Bryan Medical Center— West in Lincoln. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Mary Scott officiating. Interment was in the Stromsburg Cemetery.

The Central City Republican-Nonpareil | May 21, 2026 Richard Alan Schank, 79, of Clarks, died Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home in Clarks. A celebration of life gathering will be held at the family’s home in rural Clarks on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.

The Central City Republican-Nonpareil | May 21, 2026 Vicky Joanne Sayles, 86, entered into God’s care on May 6, 2026. Vicky was born in Superior on June 2, 1939.
