Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients: 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt 1 cup unsalted butter ½ cup white sugar ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips ½ cup chopped walnuts Directions Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.

10 Years Ago On Monday evening Mayor Clayton Erickson welcomed incumbent and newly re-elected Council members Hanna Hawthorne and Russell Flesch back to the Council along with Council member Willa Freelend who completed the term of the late Tom McMahon and won election in November. With the encouragement of presenter Jessica Einspahr and owner Anna Musgrave, 5 1/2 month old Ginny, a yellow Lab, makes her way over an obstacle during agility training as part of a dog training retreat at Timberlake.
Christmas Traditions

This time of year many members of our community turn to those great traditions that they experienced when they were children. The annual free movie with Santa is one of those traditions in our community thanks to a great partnership between the Central City Volunteer Fire Department and the State Theater. The tradition continued last Saturday as a new generation of kids joined in on the same fun as other generations.
