Area students named to Deans’ List at UNL

Body More than 6,200 University of Nebraska– Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center.

Need for blood donors remains urgent

Body The American Red Cross has an urgent need for donors and is counting on people to act now and book a time to give blood. Donors of all blood types are needed to keep a strong supply of lifesaving blood products on hospital shelves into the summer.

Body 10 YEARS AGO Northern Hamilton County got its first taste of spring severe storm season last Tuesday as a system kicked off locally near Chapman. A string of overturned pivots, along with severe flooding, crop damage and infrastructure destruction characterized the storm system.

STAHN EARNS DEGREE FROM ASU

Body Hayley Stahn of Central City graduated on May 11th with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Forensic Psychology and a minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the Arizona State University New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Area students earn degrees from UNK

Body Graduate and undergraduate degrees were conferred for 739 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney’s (UNK) commencement exercises on Friday, May 8th at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.
