10 YEARS AGO Nebraska Game and Parks, with the assistance of the Merrick County Sheriff’s Office, were able to identify and cite three Hall County individuals for abandonment of waste, which is a Class III misdemeanor. Two of the individuals had been cited for illegally shooting Sandhill cranes, while the third had just been involved in searching out a way to dispose of the remains.

Young entrepreneurs at Palmer Public Schools (PPS) were given the chance to sell their wares last week at the PPS Craft Fair. Held on March 30th, from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., in the Chochon Room, the fair gave students aged from kindergarten through twelfth grade the chance to sell their own wares and experience being entrepeneurs.

The public is invited to join the Central City Area Chamber of Commerce for “Destination: Central City,” a special community presentation Friday, May 1, at 8:30 a.m. at the Central City High School Performing Arts Center (PAC).
