Are chemtrails in the sky real?

Body
Having been an airline pilot for 30 years at Delta and having served over ten years in the Air Force I am often asked about “chemtrails” in the skies. Chemtrails are a persistent conspiracy theory which alleges that the visible condensation trails (aka contrails) left by aircraft are actually chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed for nefarious purposes, such as population control, weather manipulation or mind control. Despite its prevalence in certain online communities, the chemtrail theory is a myth, unsupported by scientific evidence, logistical realities and credible data. I want to draw on atmospheric science, practical considerations and the absence of verifiable proof to show why this idea lacks merit.

The cost of farming

Body
Loren Lippincott, District 34 Senator Farmers have been around a long time; since the very dawn of time, in fact. We read in Genesis 2:15 that God put Adam in charge of the Garden of Eden and told him, “to work it and take care of it.” In my mind there is no more noble work than caring for the land and raising a crop in service to others.

The missing year of property tax relief

Body
Loren Lippincott, District 34 Senator The “missing year” of property tax relief in Nebraska refers to a gap in tax credits for school district property taxes paid in 2024, caused by changes made in Legislative Bill 34 during the 2024 special session. Here’s what happened: Prior system (2020–2023) – Under the Nebraska Property Tax Incentive Act (LB 1107, passed in 2020), taxpayers could claim a refundable income tax credit for a portion of property taxes paid to K-12 schools (up to 30 percent by 2023) and community colleges (55 percent by 2023).

If you judged my life solely by the photos I posted to social media this week, you might think I’m a man at peace—a guy with a camera roll full of medals, smiles, and well-behaved children chasing their dreams while I sip coffee and soak in the beauty of it all.
