Carol Lynn (Polzkill) Volesky, 74, of Byron, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2025 in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

Carolyn J. (Paulsen) Matthie, 91, died peacefully on August 11, 2025, in the wonderful care of the staff at Crane Gardens Memory Care, with visits from her family prior to her passing. She held dear both her family and her faith in Jesus Christ.

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Derik Richard Brummet, better known by many as “Uncle Buck.” Derik left us on August 21, 2025, at the age of forty-two. Born in Kearney, Derik was someone who could light up any room.

Leonard Frederick Anderson, at the age of ninety-two, passed away peacefully at his home near Polk on August 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

April 22, 1951 - July 26, 2025 James Wallace “Cowboy” Garretson James Wallace “Cowboy” Garretson, 74, of Marquette died with loved ones at his side, on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Country House Memory Care in Grand Island. A visitation and time of sharing will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 5-7 p.m.

February 20, 1968 Randall Scott Paulsen, 57, of Central City, Nebraska, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Grand Island after a lengthy fight —one he fought with everything he had, right until the very end. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

May 20, 1959 - July 19, 2025 Sue Ellen Beed was called home to the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 66. She was born May 20, 1959 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
