Body Joyce Nadine Kuhn, the only child of Edward L. and Mildred E. (Turner) Hunscote, was born on June 7, 1929, in Grand Island. She passed away on July 6, 2026, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City.

Body David E. Sorensen, 78, of Fullerton, formerly of Central City, died on Friday, July, 3, 2026 at Arbor Care Center in Fullerton. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.

Body Maxine M. Sundberg, age 84, of Clarks, passed away June 14, 2026 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Body Verna E. Zmek, 94, of Central City, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Archer Zion Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m.

Body Arlis V. Phelps, 83, of Central City, died on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln.

Body Laura “Faye” Roebuck, 77, of Grand Island, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Grand Island. Funeral services were held at Third Christian Church in Grand Island on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Scott Jones officiating.

Body Ronald Dean Dankert, 72, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on June 16, 2026. Ron was born in Central City, Nebraska on May 6, 1954 to Alred and Elienn (Fleischaker) Dankert.

Body Mary Lou (Campbell) Miller, 98, formerly of Central City, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at her home in Clarks. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.

Body Thomas E. Blodgett, 72, of Central City, died on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. Memorial services were held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Central City with Pastor Gordon Paulsen officiating.
