Nebraska cattle on feed down 2%

Body Nebraska feedlots, with capacities of 1,000 or more head, contained 2.42 million cattle on feed on October 1, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. This inventory was down 2% from last year.

Merrick County Receives Dividend Check

Body Merrick County has received another membership dividend, this time in the amount of $6,198, from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association II (NIRMA II), the county=s workers= compensation coverage and risk management services provider.
