Locals help students “Connect the Dots”

Body On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Merrick County Extension collaborated with Central City High School to present the “Connecting the Dots” event at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and the middle school gym in Central City.

Body Nebraska Christian vocal and instrumental instructor Mike Flynn was pleased to find that six of his students have been named two of this year’s various All-State music ensembles. Selected this year are vocalists Scott Smith, Ethan Unruh, Chase Kvols, Zoe Flynn, and Katie Cumpston.

HPC FFA competes in State Land Judging

Body The Nebraska Corn Board will hold its next meeting on November 20-21, 2023, at The Cornhusker Marriott (333 South 13th Street) in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Body For the week ending October 29, 2023, there were 5.2 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 20% very short, 29% short, 47% adequate, and 4% surplus.
