Area students earn degrees from UNL

Body The University of Nebraska—Lincoln conferred a record 3,885 degrees during commencement exercises May 8th and May9th. The 3,762 graduates— also a record —are from sixty-one countries; forty-five states and the District of Columbia; and 230-plus Nebraska communities.

Farm income projected to reach record high

Body Nebraska net farm income is projected to increase by twelve percent in 2026, reaching a record $9.96 billion, according to the latest projections from the University of Nebraska— Lincoln and the University of Missouri.

Body With just one week remaining before the May 12th primary, Merrick County voters are beginning to see ballots arrive for the allmail election. Election officials are anticipating strong turnout driven primarily by several competitive local races.
