Darrell Widman and a few friends of the Merrick County Historical Museum hosted a public demonstration and interactive experience involving the firing of a number of World War II era weapons at the Central City Sportsman’s Club. Widman offered the use of rifles and machine guns from his own personal collection and also donated the ammunition appropriate for each weapon for a fee.

Central City United Methodist Church hosts annual Prayer Walk at CCHS

The Central City United Methodist Church held its annual prayer walk at the Central City High School Preferred Popcorn track on Sunday, August 18th. Led by Pastor Francis Kinyua, members of the congregation walked “Jericho-style” seven times around the track, with each lap representing a specific prayer or need for the local school and schools nationwide.
