com. Vickie was born on March 13, 1949, in Central City, to Howard and Ila Lovejoy. Vicki grew up in Central City, and Paso Robles, CA, where she met and married the love of her life, David Thomas, on December 19, 1967.

As a proud military family, Vicki, Dave, and their three sons—Mark (Trisha), Brian (Jennifer), and T.J. Thomas, all of Central City—lived in several states, including Texas, Colorado, and Georgia, and experienced two memorable assignments in Germany. In 1993, after Dave retired from the military, Vicki and Dave returned to Central City.

Vicki worked at Walmart in Grand Island, for 22 years, where her friendly personality and warm smile left an impact on coworkers and customers alike. She found immense joy in quilting handmade treasures for her family, playing dice with her siblings, hosting garage sales, and enjoying bingo and pulling the one arm bandit slot machines. Most of all, Vicki cherished time spent with her family, who were her greatest source of pride and joy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dave Thomas; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark (Trisha), Brian (Jennifer), and T.J.; her siblings, Carolyn Kohl, Linda Lambert, and Randy (Nancy) Lovejoy; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ila Lovejoy; her brother, Ed Lovejoy; sister-in-law Dixie Lovejoy; brother-in-law Kenneth Kohl; nephew Dave Kohl; parents-in-law, James and Stella Thomas; and sister-in-law Kathy Thomas.

Vicki’s vibrant spirit, love for her family, and kind heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
