Rose L. Catlett, 91, of Central City, died on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Mark Hartley officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 17th from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be held at Central City Cemetery.

Rose Catlett was born on August 13, 1932 at Taylor to Howard and Elsie Lyons. She attended school in Loup and Custer Counties. She worked in Sargent and Broken Bow, until she met and married Ted Catlett, the love of her life at the Methodist Church in Central City. They lived in Broken Bow and Sidney, Nebraska before moving to Central City. To this union they had 6 children, Dennis, Kathy, Marla, Douglas, Tami and Terry.
Rose stayed home until her children were raised. She then worked at the school cafeteria and Parkview Nursing Home. Then for Maxine Jensen at Countryside flowers, which she and Kathy purchased in 1989. After Ted’s death in 1992, she went back to work for Kathy. Later working part time until her retirement.
Rose was a member of the First Christian Church in Central City. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dennis (Cynthia) Catlett of Central City, Kathy (Gary) DeBoer of Central City, Marla (David) Lenz of Cumberland, IA, and Tami (Russ) Butcher of Central City, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted, her sons, Douglas and Terry Catlett, her son-in-law, Keith Namanny; three brothers, Clifford, Clinton and Marvin Lyons; two sisters, Erma Vinzant and Berniece Cronk.
