Ronald Arthur Miller, 87, of Genoa, formerly of Clarks died on March 10, 2023 at Genoa Community Long Term Care in Genoa. Memorial services will be Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home with Pastors Mark Hartley and Connie Kramer officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Clarks Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Genoa Community Long Term Care, Clarks Lions Club, Silver Creek United Methodist Church, or Silver Creek American Legion. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.soltwagnerfuneral.com.

Ron was born on April 23, 1935 to Arthur and Evelyn (Stromberg) Miller in Oto, Iowa. He grew up near Clarks, Nebraska and attended Prairie Hill Country School and graduated from Clarks High School in 1953. He entered the United States Army in 1958 and was Honorably discharged in 1960. Ron married Peggy Carlene Ficken on February 7, 1960 in Marshall, Oklahoma. The couple returned to Clarks where Ron farmed with his father. The farm included cattle, hogs, chickens and ducks to name a few. Ron farmed his whole life. He moved to Cottonwood in Central City in January of 2020. He then moved to Genoa Community Long Term Care in September of 2021.

Ron was a member of Clarks United Methodist Church, Clarks Lions Club, Silver CreekAmerican Legion, Clarks Rural Fire Department, past member of Eagle’s Club in Grand Island. He enjoyed his baby calves, toy tractors, and farming in general.

He is survived by his wife,Peggy Miller of Genoa; daughters, LouAnne Miller of Lincoln, Gloria (Calvin) Gress of Central City, and Deborah (Elio) Zepeda of Minneapolis, MN; daughter-in-law, Kathy Miller of Clarks; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son- David Miller; grandson-Martin Miller; sister- Bonnie Garretson.
