Raymond “Ray” Utterback Jr., 74, of Central City, Nebraska died Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Paulsen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2002 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Ray was born on March 2, 1948 to Raymond and Patricia (Morse) Utterback in Omaha. He grew up in the Omaha area and worked at the VA Medical Center in Grand Island.

Ray was a member of the VFW. He was a huge Nebraska Football fan. He was actually an all-around sports fan. He enjoyed watching western movies and listening to Elvis.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Kadhim) Al-ebadi of Central City; son, Donald (Vanessa) Utterback of Lincoln; brothers, Ron Utterback, Jim Utterback, Gary Utterback all of Omaha, and Bob (Michelle) Welch of Grand Island; sisters, Dottie Garza of Omaha, Elsie (Glen) Line of Tennessee, Nancy Laney of Omaha; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Lena.
