Nora Bush, 101, formerly of Schuyler, died Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Brookstone Meadows in Elkhorn.

Funeral Services were Friday, January 20, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Hordville with Rev. Ford Shenk, Officiating. Visitation was Friday 1-2PM at the church. Committal in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Hordville.

Kracl Funeral Chapel of Schuyler in charge of arrangements Nora Bush was born on August 6, 1921, at home in Hordville to John and Ida (Peterson) Bush.

She grew up in Hordville and graduated from Hordville High School in 1939.

She worked as a caregiver and did house cleaning at the Colfax County Senior Center. She was a lifelong active member in various churches. She lived in Nebraska her whole life settling in the cities of Hordville, Lincoln, Schuyler, and Omaha.

In Lincoln she attended and taught Sunday School and belonged to the West O Extension Club. In Schuyler she was involved in the Church, Senior Center, and was in the Women’s Society. In Omaha she loved to keep active in the Wellington and Brookestone communities partaking in all activities available.

She enjoyed playing pitch, bunko, and bingo. She also enjoyed baking, reading and exercising. Nora was a very social person; she never met a stranger, only a potential friend.

Survivors of the immediate family include her sister Emma (Bush) Crawford, four grandchildren Noel, Neal, Holly and Dana Spreeman, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Marie (Bush) Spreeman, her parents, four brothers, Bob, Howard, Andrew, and Max Bush; one sister, Helen (Bush) Blender, and an infant sister.
