Lola Marie Ross, 97, of Seward, formerly of Central City died Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Ridgewood Care Center. A private family burial of ashes will be held at a later date in the Central City Cemetery.

Lola was born on November 10, 1926 in Central City to Frank and Ruby Chrisp. She grew up in Central City and graduated from Central City High School.

She married Kenneth Ross on December 17, 1944 in Central City, To this union 4 children were born, Kendy, Jerel, Kim, and Michele.

Lola was a member of the United Methodist Church. She served on the Library Board. She also enjoyed quilting, genealogy, ballroom dancing, and spending time with family.

Lola is survived by two sons-Jerel (Kathy) of Crete; Kim (Diana) of Central City; and one daughter- Michele (Marvin) Jakub of Brainard; 11 Grandchildren; and 18 Great-Grandchildren.

Lola was preceded by her husband Ken and daughter and son-in law Kendy and Rich Darling. Her brother David Chrisp and sister Alice Brandes.
