KoAnn K. Nelson, 62, of Central City, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at The Oaks Nursing Home in Central City.
A visitation was held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

KoAnn was born on February 22, 1963, followed by her twin brother Kevin, to Merlin and Nadine (Rodewald) Guilford in Central City. She grew up in the Hordville area and graduated from Hordville in 1981.
Following graduation, KoAnn attended Central Community College in Hastings for one year.
KoAnn was united in marriage to Allen Dwaine Nelson on September 4, 1982 in Hordville. She then began working as a dental assistant at Dr. Ahlschwede’s office, where she worked for over ten years. KoAnn then worked for Dr. Allen for two years, then began working as a Medical Aide at Litzenberg Long Term Care and The Oaks in Central City for many years, until her and Allen’s health no longer allowed her to work.
KoAnn was a member of the First Christian Church in Central City. Her life was her two boys, Kyle and Blaine.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Allen, of Central City; her two sons, Kyle (Maria) Nelson of Sioux City, Iowa and Blaine (Olivia) Nelson of Omaha; her siblings, Carla Fowler of Hordville, Myla Thompson of Grand Island, and Kevin Guilford of Clarks; and her two precious grandchildren, Maddox and Kaylani.
KoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin and Nadine and her mother and fatherin- law, Dwaine and Betty Nelson.
