Gary L. Kelsch, 77, died January 7, 2025, at his home in Grand Island. Cremation has taken place and ashes will be spread at a later date.

Gary Kelsch was born in Chicago Illinois to Clyde and Evelyn Kelsch.

Gary was a twin, born second after his brother, Jerry. The boys grew up in Central City and graduated from Central City High School with the class of 1965. Jerry worked at Jim’s Super Market, Gary worked at Safeway, both as carryout boys. They remember delivering groceries to the same car at the same time. Always twins.

Gary attended college at Mc-Cook Junior college and spent some time in California, before moving to Grand Island and living the rest of his life there. He enjoyed writing letters to the editor of the local newspaper, expressing his opinion about a variety of issues.

He showed great intelligence and interest in many topics. Gary and Jerry enjoyed the impromptu get-togethers of their Central City classmates, and many formal class reunions.

Married and later divorced, Gary is survived by his son, Jason and his twin brother, Jerry.
