David R. “Dave” Larson
David R. “Dave” Larson, 90, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his residence.
He was born in Central City, on April 10, 1935, to Roy Adelbert and Iva Huberta (Lear) Larson.
He graduated from Central City High School in 1953. Dave served in the United States Army. He married Janet Ann (Roosa) on November 12, 1961, in Broken Bow.
Dave worked as a Construction Engineer in public infrastructure building interstate highways and reservoirs for many years. He then went on to be an Officer for Branchville Correctional Facility for about ten years before retiring.
Dave was the founding member of the Central Perry Volunteer Fire Department (Derby Station) in the early 1980s. Dave was a longtime volunteer for the Indiana State Employees Association.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #574, in Birdseye, Indiana.
Dave enjoyed boating on the Ohio River and enjoyed being around other people.
Dave is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Dwight (Julie) Hedges, Marcia (Wayne) Redmond, Linda (Terry) Aders, and Mike (Jeanne) Larson; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Dean Larson; and sister, Patricia Ann Gerdts.
There will be private family services held to honor David “Dave” R.
Larson.
