May 11, 1930 - May 26, 2024 Dale F. Hilderbrand

Dale F. Hilderbrand, 94, of Central City, died on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Grand Island. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. There was no visitation and burial of ashes will be in the Central City Cemetery.

Dale was born on May 11, 1930 to Fritz and Nettie (Brown) Hilderbrand in Oshkosh. Attended District 51 and graduated high school. Dale married Nadine Louise Butt on May 14,1950 in Central City. In 1952 he enlisted in the United States Army as a mechanic, he was honorably discharged in 1954.

Dale and Nadine moved to Grand Island where he worked for Island Glass for over 50 years. Dale also worked for Nebraska Cycle for more than 30 years. Dale and Nadine moved to Central City, in 1995 and he retired in 2007.

Dale was involved in the American Legion Post #6, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and the White Spot Motorcycle Club.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycles. Those left to cherish his memory are sons Scott (Rhonda) Hilderbrand of Central City, Stacy (Kris) Hilderbrand of St. Paul; grandchildren- Rachel and Shaun Hilderbrand and one great grandson Blaz Hilderbrand of Central City.

Dale was proceed in death his parents, wife Nadine and his in-laws Fritz and Pauline Butt, brothers- Merl, Verlin and Merlin and one sister Carol Hilderbrand. Sister-in-laws Phyllis and Cathy Hilderbrand.
