Billie Ruth (Rogers-Prochaska) Gee, age 97, formerly of Central City, joined her Heavenly Father on October 30, 2024, at her daughter’s home, in Centennial, CO, surrounded by her loving family. .

Services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Central City, on November 15, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Doug McHargue will be officiating. Interment will be held following the service at the Central City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at 7411 East Jamison Circle, Centennial, CO, 80112 in care of Janet Koenig.

Billie was born on September 22, 1927, to James Earl and Myrtle (Jerome) Rogers. She grew up in Central City and graduated from Central City High School in 1945. She then attended Nebraska Business Institute in Lincoln and acquired a secretarial degree. She was married onAugust 10, 1947, to William J. Prochaska, farming near Palmer, until his death in 1990. Together they had three children: William J. II, Monte and Janet.

She worked at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in St. Paul, for 20 years and retired in 1988. Billie was then married to Jay Gee, of Central City and she moved back to her hometown with Jay in 1991. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women’s Assn., and belonged to P.E.O., Chapter AB, going inactive in later years. Billie enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She used her computer to keep in touch with family and friends. She always had a deep faith in God, loved her family dearly and was so grateful for every day that she was so close to them. Her last years she lived in Colorado with her daughter, happy to be with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Janet Koenig, stepchildren, Ken (Reva) Gee, Howard (Mary Sue) Gee and Dave (Deanna) Gee along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Billie was preceded in death by her husbands, William J. Prochaska and Jay Gee; sons, William J. Prochaska II and Monte Prochaska; sonin- law, Tony Koenig; brother and wife, Dr. Earl and Helen Rogers and one sister, Mary E. Dooley and her husband Dr. Howard Dooley. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
