com. Bub Cordsen was born June 27, 1952 to Alvin and Betty Galusha Cordsen. He lived his entire life in Central City, with the exception of his tour of duty serving our country. Bub received his education in the Central City Public Schools graduating in 1970.

Bub and Linda Reeves were married March 6, 1971 in Central City. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served 2 years in Thailand. Upon his return from the service Bub worked for many years at Christensen Cattle, Grigsby Farms, and Bosselman Energy. He loved the outdoors and his home on an acreage east of Central City near the river. He loved deer, and duck hunting, and could spot a mushroom in any terrain. He was also a master chef and won many competitions with his BBQ cooker. Bub was a founding member of the “River Rats” and enjoyed exploring the river via jeep. Bub was recently presented a Quilt of Valor honoring his service in the Vietnam war. He was overwhelmed by this recognition.

The family appreciates the many kindnesses extended to them since Bub was diagnosed with cancer. The family also is very thankful to the hospice nurses who helped and tended to Bub while he was sick.

Bub is survived by two sons, John (Kristal) Cordsen of Booneville, Indiana, and Cortland (Schavon) Cordsen of Archer. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren Cooper, Sadie, and Roger; and one great grandson Warren. Additional survivors include his sister Lorraine (Randy) Carlson of North Platte; his brothers Tom (Sue) Cordsen of Columbus; Dan (Shelly) Cordsen of Page, Arizona; Angie Cordsen and his furry best friend and companion Merle, as well as many other extended family and friends.

Bub was preceded in death by his wife Linda, parents Al and Betty Cordsen, parents in-law Robert and Alnetta Reeves, and his nephew Wade Cordsen.
