Frances was born on February 14, 1948 in York, to Lloyd and Marcella (Burgess) Perkins. Frances grew up in the Central City area, and graduated from Central City High School in 1966. In July of 1969, Frances was united in marriage to Carl B. Jensen Jr. at the United Methodist Church in Central City. Frances then moved to Omaha to attend Clarkson School of Nursing in 1969. After she received her LPN from Clarkson School of Nursing, she remained in Omaha serving various facilities throughout the Omaha area. When she wasn’t working as an LPN, she taught Sunday school at the Faith Westwood United Methodist Church in Omaha. She remained in Omaha until 1999, when she moved back to Central City.
While in Central City, Frances continued her call to service, as a Sunday school teacher at the United Methodist Church in C.C. She also worked in-home health care, then started working at the Central City Library until 2019, when she officially retired due to her health. In November of 2021 she moved to Valhaven, to be closer to her two girls.
Frances enjoyed animals, but caring for others was her calling. Her sweetest joy was getting to spend time with her family. Frances was a member of the Central City United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Sarah (Jamie) Graham of Saint Joseph, MO and Marcy (Kris) Boger of Omaha and her two granddaughters; Amanda and Kaitlin Graham, her ex-husband; Carl B. Jensen Jr. of Omaha, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
