Susan E. Ausbun, 79, of Silver Creek, died on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Genoa Community Hospital.
The family will hold a dedication of life for Sue at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later time.

Sue was born on November 9, 1946 in Hastings to Richard and Hilda (Hinrichs) Burke. She grew up in Central City and attended Central City Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Paul Ausbun, and to this union one son, Toby, was born. She then moved to New York and Minnesota for several years. Sue moved back to Central City on the day of “The Night of the Twisters” in 1980. She then met Darrell Hellbusch and moved north of Fullerton. While in Fullerton she worked at Bonnavilla and bartended at several different places. She remained in Fullerton for twenty-nine years until Darrell’s death. She then retired and moved to Silver Creek, where she remained until her passing.
Sue attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Central City when she was younger.
When she had downtime, Sue loved to crochet and draw. She had the most beautiful handwriting as well.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Pati (Deryl) Hilligas of Hampton and brother, Ric (Cyndee) Burke of Eagan, Minnesota.
Also, three nieces and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Toby Ausbun; brother, Butch Burke; and niece, Angela.
