Laura “Faye” Roebuck, 77, of Grand Island, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Grand Island. Funeral services were held at Third Christian Church in Grand Island on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Scott Jones officiating.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Interment followed at the Grand Island Cemetery.

Laura was born on July 17, 1948, to Raymond and Lucy (Hammons) Sawyers. She graduated from Central City High School in 1966. She was first united in marriage to Dan Garner, and together they welcomed four children: Loni, Sheri, Daniel, and Alycia. In 1980, she married Tom Roebuck.
Throughout her life, Laura dedicated herself to serving others. She retired as an administrator from Edgewood Vista, where her compassion, leadership, and commitment positively impacted countless residents, families, and coworkers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she loved deeply. Laura was also a faithful and active member of Third City Christian Church, where she found fellowship and many opportunities to serve her community.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tom Roebuck of Grand Island; her children, Loni (Monte) Galvan of Shelton, Sheri (Mingo) Perales of Grand Island, Daniel (Amy) Garner of St.
Paul, and Alycia (Brandon) Packer of Grand Island; her siblings, Vern (Deloris) Sawyers of Central City, Donna (Gary) Green of Central City, Dorson (Darlene) Sawyers of Grand Island, and Marlene (Lyle) Garwood; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Sawyers and Lucy (Oren) Hoback; her grandson, Nicolas Galvan; and her infant granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Perales.
