Scottie Irene was born sleeping on May 15, 2026, at 3:59 p.m., surrounded by endless love.

Though her time here was far too brief, she was treasured long before she entered this world and will be remembered always by those who awaited her arrival.

Scottie Irene is survived by her father, Christopher Schropfer; her mother, Lizzy Hedglin; her brother, Merrick; and her sister, Tallulah. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandparents: Dave and Brenda Hedglin of Central City, Nebraska; Sue Schade and John Silvester of Hastings, Nebraska; Scott and Enice Schropfer of Geneva, Nebraska; Phil Schade of Hastings, Nebraska; and Brenda Griess of Cortland, Nebraska.

Though her family never had the chance to hold her, Scottie was loved beyond measure— longed for, awaited, and adored. She will remain in our hearts forever, until we meet again.

In Heaven, she was welcomed with open arms by her brother, Maverick.

“Some people only dream of angels. We carried one in our hearts.”

A graveside service for Scottie Irene will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Geneva Public Cemetery in Geneva, Nebraska, with Lay Pastor Michelle Lessard presiding.

No visitation will be held.

Memorials are to be directed to the family for later designation.

Farmer & Son Funeral Home is in charge of funeral services.
