Amber left this world unexpectedly on November 14, 2025.

To honor her life, the Meekins family held a celebration of life at the American Legion Club in Central City on Friday, November 21, 2025.

The Smith family will be holding a private celebration of life.

Flowers and gifts may be sent to the Legion Club on that day or to her family.

Amber was born on December 21, 1990 in Clearwater, Florida to her mother, Vicky Meekins, who considered her the greatest gift from Heaven. The laughter and joy she brought into this world will be remembered by every soul she touched.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her sons, Owen and Ayden...As well as the daughter and sister her family adored.

Amber completed her CNA/MED aide classes while she was still in high school and working at Wendy’s. After she graduated, she began her career at Cottonwood, which she truly loved.

Amber was united in marriage to Justin Smith on May 3, 2014 in Central City. To this union they had one son, Owen, and welcomed in another son, Ayden. Amber enjoyed spending time with her family and playing all sorts of games, which she usually won. Her quiet strength and endless love were the root of her kindness, which will continue to live in all of us. A more loyal soul you will never find.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Owen and Ayden; her mother, Vicky; her brothers, Sean (Danielle) and Robert “Shorty;” her nieces, Angel, Nevaeh, Aaliyah, Jayla, Journey, Fenix and Jazlynn, DeAnnah, and Natylee; her nephews, Connor, Daeggun, and Canaan; great-nephew, Eli; and her in-laws, Dan and Kathy, Krystina (Bryan), and Travis (Shalynn).

Also mourning Amber’s loss are Darren, Aunt Shelli, Uncle Chris, cousin Gregg, grandparents, Daryl and Roylene and Doris, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Amber is preceded in death by her grandparents, Eldon and Donna; her Uncle Luke; as well as her brother-in-law and niece, Devin and Keyliah. While her loss has left us all devastated, our love for her is eternal and we’re forever grateful for every moment of joy she brought to our family.

May our beautiful Amber Rest in Peace…Where there is no more pain.
