Body

May 18, 1949 - June 26, 2025

Kendall Owen Barker of Clarks passed away on Thursday June 26 2025. Born in Omaha on May 18, 1949, he spent four years in the Army after High School, spending a tour overseas in Germany. The first years of his marriage to Suzanne Fertig were in Germany, where they had their oldest child, their daughter Jennifer. After returning to the States, they had two more children, sons James and Kenneth. After an amicable divorce, he remarried Veronika Jegeris, herself a Desert Storm veteran, and taking in her two daughters, Alexandria and Ariannah. They moved to Clarks soon after marrying. He always enjoyed the easy-going things in life, like a casual game of baseball, or spending all night under the stars fishing, content even if he caught nothing. He constantly spoke about the less fortunate, even when the chips were down for him, admiring the St. Louis Cardinals’ philanthropy and carrying out what he could for local wildlife. He always looked for something to laugh at, and tried to lighten the mood of those around him.

Preceded in death by his father Kenneth Orville Barker and mother Gail Petrowski, brother Ronnie and Sister Sheila, by Suzanne and Veronika. Survived by daughters Jennifer,Alexandria andAriannah, sons James and Kenneth, Grandson Jaden and Great-Grandson Xavier.

Spiritual but not religious, please make donations to your local animal shelters and children’s charities with him in mind.
