February 16, 1943 - February 23, 2025

Dick Vaughn, age 82 or Mission, Texas by way of Doniphan, formerly of Central City, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in McAllen, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1943, the son of Virgil Verner Vaughn and Christine Louise Heleker Vaughn. He graduated from Doniphan High School. He worked as an Insurance Salesman.

He liked to play golf, and he was a huge Nebraska Corn Husker fan. He loved to play pool, and spend time with his friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings, 3 sisters, Betty Goetsch, Mary Baldwin, and Veneta Vaughn, and 2 brothers, Virgil, and John Vaughn.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Sue Vaughn; sons, Richard Vaughn and Paul Vaughn; two daughters Veneta Vaughn and Angela Smith; two step children, Any McCoy and Thomas Neilsen, 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren, and his 92 year old sister Midge and 97 year old brother-in-law Richard.
