Ruth Fern Peters, age 84, of Central City, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Arbor Care in Fullerton.

A celebration of life service was held on Wednesday, November 20th at 11am at All Faiths Funeral Home with Dan Naranjo officiating. The service was live streamed on the funeral home website. Burial will take place at the Central City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences can be left at www. giallfaiths.com.

Ruth Fern Peters was born on July 4, 1940 in Central City to Carl and Ethel (Mace) Hensen. She was raised in Central City.

On June 1, 1958 she was united in marriage to Harold Ernest Peters. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm north of Central City. In 1994, they moved to Grand Island, where she worked at Younkers and Christopher & Banks for many years. After Harold retired in 2017, they moved back to Central City.

Ruth was a member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren. Ruth loved to spend time with her friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Harold; children, Michael (Rogi) Peters of Central City and Kathleen (Scott) Johnson of Kearney; grandchildren, Shawn (Maria) Peters of Omaha and their daughter, Emma, Kylie (Eric) Lowman of North Platte and their children, Kaelyn and Grayson, Dathan (Kelli) Peters of Central City and their children, Colbyn, Maci, Harper and Reid, Dustin Handley of Denver, CO and his children, Bostyn and Easton, Kristin (Lee) Saltzgaber of Malcom and their children, Ariel and Jazmine and Haylee (Lee) Hostetler of Tuscola, TX and their children, Noah and Joel and brother, Clinton (Betty) Hensen of Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and Wilbur and sisters, Marge and Alice.
