Virginia L. Church, 89, of Clarks, died on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society in Osceola. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Pastor Mark Hartley officiating. Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 14th from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Bureau Cemetery near Pierce Chapel.

Virginia was born on November 15, 1934 to Pete and Edna (Koehler) Miller in Aurora. She grew up in the Aurora area and graduated from Aurora High School. On March 1, 1956 Virginia was united in marriage to Dean L. Church in Harvard. The couple made their home on a farm southeast of Clarks. Virginia was a homemaker along with working together with her husband farming and raising livestock. They were blessed with six children.

Virginia’s greatest joy was raising a large garden with beautiful flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. The most precious gift she made with a lot of love was her Christmas stocking for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These will be forever cherished.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Allan Church of Clarks, Dave (Janet Janulewicz) Church of Clarks, Rosie (Dallas) Grause of Clarks, Carl (Mary) Church of Clarks, Rhonda (Marcus) Paczosa of St. Paul, and Robyn (Les) Umstead of Columbus; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dean and her brothers, John, Alvin, and Harold Miller.
