April 23, 1934 - July 30, 2024

Evelyn Mae James, 90, of St. Paul, went to be with Jesse on July 30, 2024. She was a resident at Brookefield Park in St. Paul. Per her wishes cremation was chosen, and no formal services will be held. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Evelyn was born on April 23, 1934, in St. Paul to Herman and Lydia (Luebke) Kamper. She was raised and received her education in St. Paul.

On June 3, 1955, Evelyn was united in marriage to Charles “Jesse” James. She was raised in the Lutheran faith. In her spare time Evelyn enjoyed doing crosswords, gardening, and was an avid reader. More than anything, she enjoyed being a mom.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Chris (Guy) Beeder, Liz (Clancy) Powell, Mike (Nancy) James, Trish Petersen, Dave (Gin) James; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son-in-law, Clay Petersen; granddaughter, Hannah Petersen, and six brothers and sisters.
