Taunya Melissa (Holtorf) Zywiec

Taunya Melissa (Holtorf) Zywiec was born November 30, 1964 in Anaheim, CA, and then lived in Waukegan, IL. At age eight, she moved to Central City, where she grew up. Taunya unexpectedly departed this earth on June 9, 2022, age 57, at her home in Red Cloud as a result of chronic kidney failure. A private graveside memorial was held June 10, 2023, for the interment of her ashes.

Taunya was united in marriage to Joe Zywiec in 1987. Their union was blessed with three children. Taunya enjoyed camping, fishing, and relaxing around water whether it be lakes, ponds, rivers, or oceans. She had a great sense of humor and loved to play with her grandchildren and plan fun things to do for them. She loved reading and interacting with God’s Word.

Left to treasure her memory are her children - Justin John Zywiec, Lincoln, Tabitha Zywiec, Alma, and Tenea’ Rose Zywiec, St. Louis, MO; her former husband - Joe Zywiec, Red Cloud; grandchildren - Khloe McNeff and Kyler Hansen; her parents - Kent (Diana) Holtorf, Central City; siblings - William Holtorf, Albuquerque, NM, Tina Holtorf, Orlando, FL, Nicole (Mark) Berry, Fenton, MO; nephews and nieces - James Berry, Jordan Berry, and Jessica (Daryl) Coggins She was preceded in death by a baby sister and her grandparents.
