Rural programs to receive more than $31,000 in grants

Body Rural communities are getting help making an impact thanks to $31,800 in Heartland United Way Rural Community Impact Grants. Twenty-eight nonprofit organizations in Hamilton, Howard, Merrick and rural Hall Counties will receive grants up to $1,500 in 2025.

Body For the week ending April 13, 2025, there were 6.5 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 32% very short, 40% short, 28% adequate, and 0% surplus.
