Karen F. (Lindquist) Foulk, 87, of Grand Island, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Tiffany Square. Gathering of friends and family will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Prairie Creek Cemetery near Archer.

Karen was born on July 28, 1938 in Central City to Morris L. and Viva A. (Luce) Lindquist. She attended Central City public schools, graduating from Central City High School in 1956.

On March 3, 1957, Karen was united in marriage to Gerald K.

“Shorty” Foulk. The couple resided in Omaha where three of their four children were born. David in 1957, Janis in 1959, and Steven in 1961. The family moved to Grand Island in 1965.

After a brief stint in Indiana, the family returned to Grand Island where son, Greg was born in 1975.

Karen was a stay-athome mom while her children were small but then, alongside Shorty, became an entrepreneur when they opened NebraskaLand Video stores in Aurora and York. The couple moved to York in 1984 but returned to Grand Island after selling the stores in 2009.

They enjoyed being back in Grand Island where they could resume playing in their Pinocle and Bridge Card Clubs (fifty-plus year clubs), seeing their friends, and spending time with family.

Karen had a lifelong love for cats, crafting, and gambling. She also loved being a Foster Grandparent at Lincoln Elementary School in Grand Island. Karen loved hosting friends and family every weekend at their home on the lake.

Karen moved to Good Samaritan in 2018 when Shorty got sick and then to Tiffany Square 2021 where she stayed until she passed away.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Janis (Rob) Green; son, Steve (Lynn) Foulk; daughterin- law, Christy Foulk; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Eldon (Nancy) Lindquist; sister, Lyla Spencer; sisters-in-law, Helen Foulk, Sondra Foulk, and Alice Torpin; brother-in-law, Burt Foulk; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and close friend, Jane Kittridge.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, David in 1999 and his wife, Billie in 2023, and Greg in 2020; son-in-law, Craig Dangler in 2020; and close friend, Dick Kittridge.
