Beverly J. Crandell, 98, of Central City, died on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central City Cemetery with Pastor Doug McHargue officiating.
Beverly was born January 29, 1928, in Fullerton, to Mark L. and Buena M. (Jackson) Crandell. She grew up in Fullerton and Columbus, before moving with her family to Central City in 1936. Beverly graduated from Central City High School in 1947 and continued her education at Nebraska Central College, where she earned an associate’s degree in 1952.
Following her schooling, Beverly remained in Central City. She later moved to Cottonwood Estates in Central City, until 2014 when she moved to Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care.
Beverly was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church and was a seventy-five-year member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her nephew, Joel Dasher, and his son, Devon; niece, Amy Christensen, and her daughters, Ella, Lily, Julia, and Sophie.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donovan Crandell; and her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Darwin Dasher.
