Merrick County Veterans Services Officer Gary Berry is nearing retirement from his post and looking forward to a new phase of his life. Berry has made service his life’s work, first as a draftee into the jungles of Vietnam, then as funeral director in Holdrege and Central City for thirty- two years, and now as a source of help for his fellow veterans.
