Participation tops fifty-one percent
Just over 2,700 of Merrick County’s 5,338 registered voters cast ballots in the statewide primary election last Tuesday, May 12th, a participation of more than fifty- one percent. Driven up by a couple key races on the Republican ticket, the showing in the all-mail voting county was significantly higher than the statewide rate of 28.35 percent.
