Donald “Don” Everett Kramer, 74, of Central City, died Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at his home in Central City.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Don Placke officiating. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Don was born on March 6, 1951 in Central City to Everett and Barbara (Whaley) Kramer.
He grew up in Central City and attended school there. He also attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri, graduating in 1969. He returned to his hometown and worked various jobs including working for the city with his dad. In March of 1972, he started working for the Union Pacific Railroad. He joined the Jr. Old Timers Club and served as vice president.
The couple traveled to Spokane and Vegas for yearly conventions by passenger train.
Don married Corry Reeves on April 29, 1978.
He retired in 2011 and added babysitter to his resume when grandson Derek was born. During this time, you would see him pushing Derek in the stroller or stopping at Lafayette seeing the girls.
After retirement, he was approached by Steve Blodgett to start the Facebook group, Save the State Theater. He was one of the original board members for the State Theater and also served as vice president.
You could see him at the ticket booth or serving popcorn to customers. He especially enjoyed giving tours of the theater and seeing the people and the cars at the yearly car shows. Don was also a vital part of the Central City Class of 1969 class reunions.
You could also find him in his garage watching YouTube videos and playing games on his computer.
Don is survived by his wife, Corry of Central City; two daughters, Kasey (Jon) Blodgett of Central City and Kayla (Travis) Lane of Stromsburg; sisters, Karol and Ken Iberg of Lancaster, South Carolina, Mary Sanders of Grand Island, and Penny Tucker of Cleburne, Texas; four grandchildren, Derek and Drew Blodgett and Keegan and Kalan Lane; close family friend, Tara Burke of Central City; sisters-in-law, Toni and Mitch Husman of Central City and Suz and Tom Bugee of Gibbon; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Spud and Joy Reeves
