Former Merrick County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hutchinson was shot four times while working with a team of Deuel County, Nebraska, deputies attempting to serve arrest warrants out of Sedgwick, Colorado and Keith County, Nebraska at a residence in Big Springs, Nebraska. He has undergone several surgeries and has a long road to recovery ahead.
