Randall Scott Paulsen
com. Born on February 20, 1968, Randy lived a life marked by strength, and love. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1986 until 1994.
Randy was a lifelong NASCAR fan—if a race was on, you could bet he was watching. He worked hard, loved sweets (especially ice cream), and showed his love in quiet, consistent ways. When words didn’t come easily, he’d bring you a Dilly Bar from Dairy Queen, and somehow, that said enough.
He held on—through every hospital stay, every setback, every impossible day until God finally reached out, took Randy’s hand, and led him home. He let go, surrounded by love.
Randy is survived by his mother, Merleen Paulsen; children, Angela Anderson (Paulsen) and Anthony Paulsen; siblings, Darla Belitz and Bill Paulsen; brother-in-law, Sean Gentrup; his granddaughter, Charlotte Anderson, who lit up his final days; and by Linda Tatro, the mother of his children, whose place in his life and heart he never forgot. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Paulsen; his sister, Kim Gentrup; and his niece, Summer Simon. We believe they were waiting for him with open arms.
He will be remembered for the fight he gave, the love he showed, the ways he tried, and the peace he finally found. He was a father, a veteran, a man in recovery, and in the end—a grandpa who got to meet his baby girl.
