April 7, 1939 - March 28, 2024 Nancy Gail Faeh

Nancy Gail Faeh, 84, peacefully left this world and passed to her heavenly home on March 28, 2024, at her home in Central City. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Heartland Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Nathan Musgrave officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be sent to the Nebraska Christian Schools. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.soltwagnerfuneral.com.

Nancy was born April 7, 1939, to Nelson and Helen (McLean) Teeple in Niagara Falls, New York. The family moved to Dallas, Texas when she was four years old. She Spent her childhood years there and later graduated high school.

Nancy attended the University of Texas where she became involved in Intervarsity (a Christian college ministry). Through this ministry, she came to trust Christ as her Savior and committed to following Him for the rest of her life. It was at an Intervarsity winter retreat in Colorado that she met the love of her life, Wendell. She was united in marriage to Wendell Faeh on September 7, 1957. After Wendell’s graduation from UNL and a brief stay in Lincoln, they moved to the farm in Central City. Adjusting to country life was a huge change for the big city gal. Wendell and Nancy began their journey of raising five rambunctious kids in a single-wide trailer. During that time, Nancy and Wendell were part of the original Bible study that eventually evolved into what is now Heartland Evangelical Free Church. A large part of Nancy’s life was dedicated to music ministry in the church, including playing piano for services, and writing and composing music for children’s programs. Her other ministries included Awana, teaching Sunday School, VBS, and Bible studies. She graciously opened her home by hosting countless people and offering others a place to live. In her later years, Nancy and her husband spent numerous winters in Mexico on mission trips and helped with prison ministries locally.

She enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities and entertaining at the lake. Her biggest joy was spending time with family and being happily married for 66 years. Nancy Gail Teeple Faeh was quick to smile, fun, kind, gracious, and loving. She will be missed immensely.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Wendell Faeh of Central City; her children Dawn (David) Hanson, Lanny (Jewel) Faeh of Central City, Andy (Lori) Faeh of Central City, Shannon Faeh of San Diego, CA, and Laurie Young (Rick Hill) of Lincoln; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Larry (Jan) Faeh of Kalispell, MT, Chris Teeple of Tyler, TX, Ann Elkjer of Kingwood, TX, Denny (Alice) Faeh of Central City; and her 15 grandchildren Crystal, Dustin, Daniel, Samantha, Ryan, Truman, Ashley, Anthony, Luke, Audra, Anna, April, Logan, Jessie, and Katie; and 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and fatherin- law; her only brother, Don Teeple; her sister-in-law and brotherin- law, Corrine and Dale Crossgrove; her niece, April Sampson; her nephew, Kirk Faeh; brother-in-law, Ed Elkjer; and great-granddaughter, Marigold Faeh.

Aspecial thanks goes out to the primary caregivers who helped care for Nancy in her final years; Precilla Milby, Rhonda Schultz, Shiela Dixon, and memory care staff at Herita
