For the 50th year Central City will host their annual cross country invitational and for the second year it will be named the Roger Nielsen Cross Country Invite, named after the long-time Bison coach.

The day will feature runners from Aurora, Central City, Central Valley, Fullerton, Grand Island Central Catholic, Heartland Lutheran, Riverside, Ord, Lexington, Schuyler, Northwest, Madison, Minden, Nebraska Christian and Saint Paul. The annual meet is known for highlighting some great area talent.

This year runners will hit the course at Valley View Country Club on Thursday beginning at 4:30 pm with the High School girls race. The High School boys will take the course next at approximately 5:00 pm with the middle school girls and boys races scheduled to begin each half hour after that. Awards will be presented at 6:30.
