Last Thursday the Central City High School cross country team was back in action as they competed in Gibbon. It was another opportunity for the runners to improve their times and end the end four Bison runners stood out in the pack.

For the boys it was Van Fasbender leading the way as he finished in 8th (20:38.49) while Paul Johnson (21:48.32) finished 13th and Brandon Fye finished outside of medal contention.

For the girls it was Julie Buss leading the way (27:54.51) with an 11th-place finish as Kit Brooks (28:03.47) finished in 13th place and Gracie Vakiner finished outside of medal contention for the Bison cross country team.

The Bison also competed at Centura on Tuesday as did Nebraska Christian who was also in action last Friday when they competed at Boone Central. At the time of print, results were not available for either of those contest. We apologize and will work with coaches and athletic directors to make sure we get results for future cross county and girls golf events in a timely fashion.
