The Dark Island Trail is completed after its fourteen-year development. It took four years of discussing the project along with three years of negotiating for the trail to find its footing.

In addition, the well-known Bader Bridge was completed in 2012 after a two-year construction period. This bridge was near the end of the song, as the Dark Island Trail was completely finished in late 2014.
