Eileen Marie Dingwerth, 97, of Grand Island passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Visitation will be at All Faiths Funeral Home on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7.

A Memorial mass will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Fr. Don Buhrman. Burial will follow at Grand Island City Cemetery.

All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements; memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Eileen was born on June 17, 1927 at Grand Island. The daughter of Henry F. and Helen (Fey) Burghardt. She was raised on the family farm near St. Libory and received her education at District 46 at St. Libory and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1945.

She was united in marriage to Claude H. Clausen on April 11, 1953 at Grand Island. After which the couple made their home in Central City. Mr. Clausen died on August 9, 1984. Eileen married Norbert W. Dingwerth on February 12, 1994 in Central City. They made their home in Grand Island. Mr. Dingwerth died on January 18, 1999.

She was employed for 10 years by International Harvester in Grand Island. She later worked for Ferrellgas in Central City as a customer Service Representative for 9 years until her retirement in 1993.

She was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and St. Leo’s Alter Society, Liederkranz, and Platt Duetche. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Craig Clausen, Kent Clausen both of Central City, and Curt Clausen of Grand Island; daughter Cheryl Coughlin of Omaha; step-daughter, Betty Killion of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, George and Ed Burghardt; sisters, Loraine Krupski and Helen Miller.
