A largescale transmission line conversion project was the cause of an unexpected power outage for about five hours last Wednesday, October 14th. The project, undertaken by the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD), will see line serving the city upgraded from 34.5 kilovolts (kV) to sixty-nine kV.
