On May 29, Memorial Day, people gathered at the Northeast corner of the Central City cemetery for a special ceremony put on by the local American legion. At 10 A.M. that morning, everyone gathered around the civil war memorial statue to watch as the American Legion Post 6 had the special Memorial Day Service.
